Budweiser is an American pale lager at 5.0% ABV, brewed by Anheuser-Busch. Its distinguishing production detail is beechwood ageing, a process the brewery has used since the 1870s, in which the beer is conditioned over beechwood strips in the lagering tank.

In the glass it is a straightforward lager: light malt sweetness, a faint fruit note that reads as apple, very little bitterness, and a crisp finish. It is brewed with rice alongside barley malt, which is part of why it drinks so cleanly and why the body stays light.
