Coors Light is a light lager brewed at 4.0% ABV in Canada by Molson Coors. It is one of the lightest mainstream beers available here, and the whole design of it points in one direction: cold and refreshing rather than rich or bitter.

The body is very light, the malt is subtle, and there is almost no hop bite to speak of. The finish is short and clean. That makes it easy to drink over several hours and easy to serve to a room full of people with different tastes, and it is the reason it shows up at barbecues, tailgates and long game nights.

Temperature matters more with this beer than most. The label's mountains turn blue when the can is cold enough, which is a gimmick that happens to be good advice — served warm, a light lager has very little left to offer. Keep it in ice or in the back of the fridge.
